| Navigating the ins and outs of ERAS |
| The Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) recently opened for all ACGME-accredited programs. For most residency program directors and coordinators, it's been about one year since you last logged on to ERAS. Here are a few tips to refresh your memory and get you back up to speed:
Set up local data fields. Although the software prepopulates many data fields, create additional ones specific to your program, says Dianna Otterstad, BA, radiology residency program coordinator at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. For example, she always adds a field for residents to comment on applicants. Another idea is a field for listing applicants' research experience. |
