Group to study impact of changes to Medicare payments

The Health Research & Education Trust has received $180,000 in grant funding to study the impact of the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) decision to no longer reimburse for specific healthcare-associated infections (HAI). The study will specifically look at how this change in payment policies impacts safety-net hospitals.
