Quick Tip: Always try and communicate in the patient's primary language
Standard 4.K states that when the necessary, reasonable attempts are made for health care providers and staff to speak to patients in their primary language. Language Line Services (www.languageline.com) is a translation company that can translate into over 170 languages. Language Line offers different plans depending on how frequently the service is used. A basic account can easily be setup online and costs only $3.95/minute.
